1. First of all I’d like you to fill us in on what’s happening in the OTONO camp at the moment. Please point out the most important moments and experiences you’ve had with the band thus far, be them good or bad
Angel: At the moment we're working on new material, trying to book some shows and get our name and music out there... We've had some very good moments. Several of our shows have been great. Getting a lot of airplay and exposure has been awesome.
Bangulo: We are working on an EP, a free download style EP, which may turn into an album. We tend to do that a lot. The other album we were working on turned out to be two records that we also are going to release after this EP.
Eldred: The guys pretty much covered it! My best experience is going out and playing shows and meeting other bands. Being able to network with them and help each other promote! Having interviews and being played on internet stations kicks ass!! DJ Beerman even played us on FM radio!! I think the most important moment for the band was getting Angel involved. It was just two guitar players until he brought in bass and vocals. An important thing to note is that we do not have a drummer, nor have we ever had one. I program all the drums and we play live to a backing drum track. We do hope to have a “real” drummer, but have not yet found someone.

We’re very busy at the moment, preparing our European tour for the fall and also arranging some festivals and gigs during the summer. Also, we’re working on two new releases that will come out very soon; one is the vinyl edition of “Mantiis” and the other one will feature lots of new music. In addition, we have a music video that is currently in edition stage and a lot of Drone Set dates that we’re playing recently. Since we do everything by ourselves, it’s easy to guess that we’re knee-deep in work. Not that we complain about it!
Well, one of our recent highlights has undoubtedly been the release of “Mantiis” and its presentation show in Barcelona, which remains one of our milestones. Playing two dates with CULT OF LUNA was also rather enjoyable, and we expect our performance at Headway Festival to be a memorable one, too.
When it comes to hard times, we’ve had plenty. What else are we supposed to write music about?

We came back from the Stoner Rise Tour where we shared the stage with 7 WEEKS and LOADING DATA for 17 days for 16 shows. This tour must indeed be one of the best experiences we've had. Except only one gig where only a few guys showed up to see the show, all the other places were crowded by great enthralled and funny fans. You know that our new album “Angel Lust” was released in February so, to see a lot of people all around our country answering the call makes us feel like we want more gigs and we will, we want more great songs, we'll never stop writing, that’s what we love to do.

We are finishing up with our second album at the moment. It's going to be called “Sunset Runaway.” We'll be releasing new songs from the album in May and we have lots of things and planning going on behind the scenes. The first song we're going to release is a ballad dedicated to my mother who passed away in 2012, so the first song from the new album will be out 12th of May on YouTube so make sure to check it out!
I think I can speak on behalf of the band that the best moments are always those when you can give something to the people. Whether it's a live performance where people can just have fun and enjoy themselvesor whether it's a song that touches people. We're musicians and we love to play and write our genre of music but we're also entertainers and in these days when the world is going through some tough times I think we really need that little spark of joy and entertainment.
