I have seen them live in a Greek festival in June 2012 here in Thessaloniki. I never knew them before and I have to say that they have impressed me.
They are a new formed band – they started back in 2011 – and they have released only this demo, but on stage they were very professional and they performed their songs showing experience and self – confidence that bands with more years in the scene don’t have. “Thrash upon the Earth”, as I mentioned before, is their first release and I believe that the title of their demo explains a lot about the musical path that these guys have chosen to follow. What you get here is pure thrash metal with a rock ‘n’ roll attitude as it was displayed by MOTORHEAD (just check out the song “Beer Mania”). I think that their thrash metal is influenced more by the U.S. scene, but someone can also find glimpses from the German thrash scene too. The sound production of the demo is overall good; it has the dirty sound that this kind of music needs, but lacks a bit in being dynamic. Generally speaking I have to say that this first work of ABSTRACT VIOLENCE shows a band that has the talent and knows how to play good old thrash metal mixed with some rock ‘n’ roll attitude. I have to say that these guys deserve our attention for one more reason; on stage their live appearance is pure energy and you will find it difficult to resist their charm. Check them out…
