It might have taken them about fifteen years to release a debut full length album, but the Italian band IRA never gave up, they kept on pursuing their dreams and passion and they finally made them a reality!
A good thing that has come out of all this time of waiting and preparing their album is that they had more than enough time to discover their sound and identity and to excel on their instruments. So, IRA is a technically flawless death metal band that seems to adore and pay tribute with their songs to one of the best death metal bands that have ever existed… and I’m referring of course to the mighty DEATH. “The Syndrome of Decline” is heavily influenced by DEATH, which means that IRA are offering us here high class technical death metal with up tempo solid rhythms that are delivered with extreme precision, beautiful technical solos, progressive structures and intense vocals that will surely remind you of Chuck. Apart from the DEATH influence, I’ve also traced some ANNIHILATOR touches in their solos and insane riffs. To wrap it all up, if you want to listen to intense, perfectly executed technical death metal, “The Syndrome of Decline” is a really good recommendation for you!
